Welcome to our Class Page where you will find examples of some of our learning. We hope you enjoy looking through and finding all about what he have been doing!

Read Aloud at Home: The Time Travelling Cat and Egyptian Goddess by Julia Jarman
Science - Earth and Space - The children will describe the movement of the Earth and other planets; describe the movement of the moon and explain day and night.

Y5W used their measuring, cutting, shaping, joining and finishing skills during DT lessons when they designed and made these fabulous Mayan Headdresses.

World Book Day - 7.3.19

Y5W looked amazing when they came to school dressed as their favourite book character. Everyone thought of some fantastic vocabulary to describe their character. What a fabulous effort - well done Y5W!

Y5W have been finding out all about the Mayan civilisation. Each group researched a different area and prepared a poster. They then presented their findings to the rest of the class.

After finding an ancient Stelae on the school field, the children wrote a Newspaper Report on the amazing discovery!

DT Super Learning Day - 30.11.18

Inspired by the book, 'Where the Wild Things Are', Y5W made marionette puppets to help them re-tell the story. They developed their planning, designing and evaluating skills to produce their puppets. Some fantastic team working was also displayed.

16.11.18 Children in Need

For Children in Need this year, the children all came to school wearing something sporty and took part in an assault course. Children were encouraging and supporting each other and everyone had fun taking part.

7.11.18 - Trip to Nell Bank

During their trip to Nell Bank, Year 5 developed their team working skills when they carried out a variety of problem solving activities including crossing a piranha infested custard lake, transporting items around an assault course and orienteering!

We improved our physical geography when we found out all about the Amazon Rainforest. Here are some posters that we made when we presented our learning to the class.

Wally's next postcard came from Newcastle! After researching where Newcastle is and what you can do there, we made a tripadvisor page!

Y5W focused on using tone and volume to perform a poem. We hope you enjoy listening to them!

After carrying out an investigation to find out which materials conduct electricity and active the energy stick, Y5W wrote some fantastic explanations about what they found.

Some of the children made some fantastic pitches to try and persuade Y5W to vote for them to be their class representative at the School Council. After voting took place, it was announced in assembly that Alfie Connor and Ruby Sarsfield will represent our class this year. A huge well done to everybody who took part.
