To help consolidate our learning of addition, the children created 'Make It' posters today to prove addition sums. Children are developing a great talent for showing their work in many different ways.

Number Lines

Today the children in Year 2 have been working practically with number lines. Looking at numbers in different ways assists in class understanding and ability to place numbers on a line. The children worked together to challenge them selves with number lines using different increments. Great work!

PE. Balance and Positioning

In PE over the last few weeks we have looked at how balanced we are and how we position our body. The children have developed from an unopposed practice into opposed games. In this game children had a red tag handing from their pockets. The mission was to keep the tag away from partners as they looked to snatch it away. The children created their own game space and decided on the size needed and were able to change it whenever they see fit. Using different body positions children had to try to keep the band for as long as possible. The children had lots of fun and took this into a full class invasion game!
