Our Week's Learning 16.11.18

This week we have done PE with a Leeds Rhinos Coach, worn odd socks and talking about being different and special and raised money for Children in Need. We have worn sporty clothes, completed an obstacle course and some children 'did their thing' on a stage in front of Year 1. As well as all that we have been saying, acting out and writing the story of the three little pigs and working with numbers 11-20 in different ways. In science we have been learning about the senses and went on a hunt outside using our senses.

This week we have learnt about a place called Baffin Island. We have learnt it is colder than England because it is further north and further away from the equator. We have all logged onto Reading Eggs on the iPads and in the computer room we went on Espresso to find out about materials. The children are getting much better at using the mouse and keyboard. We have been practising subtraction in maths and had a go at a maths problem today using a part whole diagram. All the children took a copy of their writing today as they were all amazing. Everyone tried really hard to write sentences with capital letters, finger spaces and full stops about the seaside.
