The Faraway Tree descriptions

The children have been fascinated by The Enchanted Wood so far. This week we read the chapter where the characters climbed up the tree. From this the children wrote descriptions about what the characters could see on their way up to the cloud.

This week we are launching the new and exciting maths website and app TT Rockstars in school. TT Rockstars is a great way for children to have fun with their times tables whilst increasing their confidence. Children will be using TT Rockstars in school but we would also like to encourage children to log on at home and play along with their Rockstar.

Learning Legend Designs

The children were introduced to the attributes of the Learning Legend and were then set the challenge of designing a character to use for our class display.

The Enchanted Wood

After being introduced to the new class reader The Enchanted Wood, children drew what they thought the setting was like from the way the author had described it.
