Non-chronological writing w/c 2nd May 2017

The children have been working hard completing a piece of non-fiction writing all about meerkats. I was so impressed with the children's knowledge at the start of the week and they have been able to apply their learning from previous weeks which is a skill we are building up to. I think you'll agree, the children have done an amazing job so far and we cannot wait to see thier final piece when they bring everything together!

Prefects Term 3
Maths w/c 24th April 2017 - This week along with addition lessons in calculations, we have been taking another look at time. To help your child develop their understanding, why not ask them what time it is. All children have been looking at O'Clock and Half-past. They have also been looking at how many hours in a day and minutes in an hour.
Meerkat Mail

Today the children were asked to think about Sunny (the main character in Meerkat Mail) and think of all the reasons that he might want to leave his family for his great adventure. Some great ideas from younger meerkat's spitting whilst eating beetle larvae to mum never telling the tiny tearaways off and always blaming Sunny. Here are a couple of my favourite pieces.
