Nursery Class Page

Welcome to the nursery class page! The staff working with children in nursery are Mrs Johnson, Mrs Haigh, Mrs Moore and Mrs Pritchard. We have lots of fun learning through play in nursery, and hope you enjoy looking at some of the wonderful things that our children do.

International Focus Week

We have had a fabulous time learning about France and Spain in nursery. During International Focus Week, we made flags, tasted Spanish tapas and drew some works of art, along with many other exciting things too. Come and have a look at our super learning!

Maths Super Learning Day!

We celebrated maths super learning day by doing lots of different maths activities. We iced number biscuits, we shared out fruit and counted how many cars we could get into a garage down a ramp. We did so much wonderful learning that we are going to keep doing some of the activities for a few more days!

Making pizza

After finding out about where our food comes from and how some is made, we used a variety of ingredients to make some pizza. What do you think we used to top our pizza?

Sunflower Planting

We have been trying to encourage Spring by starting to grow sunflowers. We have been learning about how to plant seeds and what they need to grow. The children talked about what plants they have in their own gardens and homes. Hopefully we will start see our seeds sprouting into seedlings soon.

Here are some of the Makaton signs we have been learning in nursery. Maybe you could try using them at home! Don't forget to say the word as you sign, it's important you use the sign and say what it means together.

After hearing lots of different stories and learning about story language, we had a go at making up our own. We hope you enjoy them!
