What a difference 12 days makes in terms of Science

We left a Science investigation for a few days to see what changes there would be over time. The investigation was to see what would happen to chalk if we left it in 3 different liquids. The results are fairly stomach churning.

Atmospheric Stories

This week we have been inspired by a film clip - Francis. As a result of this we have been thinking about creating an eerie atmosphere through narrative writing. We started by sketching scenes with atmosphere and then wrote stories which were based on the scenes we had drawn in art. Read them if you dare!

The Year of Positive Thinking

Friday was the official launch of our Year of Positive Thinking. Children in UKS2 have enjoyed taking part in various activities in the morning which have challenged them in different ways. In these challenges, children had to earn their ingredients for the apple and pear crumble bake off challenge in the afternoon. We were really impressed with the positive attitude children showed throughout the day. This culminated in all of UKS2 in the hall baking in teams of 4 with the ingredients they had earned throughout the day. Well done everybody!
