Minibeast songs

We have been learning some songs to celebrate all the small creatures that live in our garden.

Giraffes can't dance

We have been reading the story 'Giraffes can't dance' by Giles Andreae. We enjoyed finding out that Gerald the giraffe could dance by the end of the story and we liked looking at pictures of him dancing in the book. We have had lots fun dancing to some tropical music ourselves. Look at our funky moves!

Chinese New Year

We celebrated Chinese New Year in Nursery by tasting some Chinese treats. The children decsribed how they tasted and whether or not they liked them: 'It was sweet' 'They taste like pudding' 'It's like rice and corn' 'It's sweet and lovely. I like it' 'I don't like it - it's too crunchy' 'Apples, 'cos they have put apples in there' 'It tastes like orange. I don't like it. I like orange but I don't like that'
